Pool-grown sea moss is cultivated in tanks or roped-off areas where salt is sometimes added to mimic seawater. It is cheaper by the pound, but it tends to be saltier, less mineral-dense and inconsistent in gel yield — which means more rinsing, more waste, and a weaker story to tell your customers.
